Google Google on Thursday announced the state and territory winners of its annual Doodle for Google contest, which invites schoolkids from kindergarten through the 12th grade to design. We are immensely pleasured and delighted to announce the winners of the doodling competition Doodle for Googleand appreciate all the participants for their cooperation and amazing creative skills. Judges for the competition include singer Selena Gomez, model/activist Elyse Fox and teacher Juliana Urtubey. This 2012 Google doodle celebrated artist Winsor McCays 107th anniversary through an interactive comic strip. The winner of Doodle will be announced later this year. The public will then vote and select five national finalists from each grouping. Calhoun Middle School rising eighth grader Grace Curran, the Texas winner of the 2022 Doodle for Google Contest, shows off some of her prizes for winning the state title. She will go up against 54 winners from the United States and its territories for a chance to win a $30,000 scholarship. Finalists are judged on a state-by-state basis, with 10 or more winners in each grade group selected by the Google Doodle team and guest judges for a total of 54 (50 states + Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands) Doodles. Antilles School student Gabrielle Baa was selected as the Territorial Doodle for Google Winner from the US Virgin Islands.īaa is just the second person from the USVI to be selected for the Google Doodle competition.
